In the text, Rosa Barba Casanova mentions the primitive thing that is to relate the existing thing in the future surroundings since our profession is the responsible one to construct the environment and to find the instrument of intervention and the most adapted form to the most economic solution.
The author gives special importance to the axes as generating lines of several extensions and that resolve the conflict of a specialized use. On the other hand, she emphasizes that a good project is based on imposing alignment and rhythm in the corners.
From my point of view what Barba Casanova wants to convey to us is that the city should be understood more as a space of fabrics and plots since it relies mainly on the geometry that gives it its own identity and form.
